The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, intends to procure an approximate quantity of 6000 Hand Held SDR (HH SDR) of Hand Held form factor. The purpose of this RFI is to identify the prospective vendors (DPSUs/ Private Indian Vendors) to procure SDR for hand held role under Buy Indian- IDDM/ Buy Indian category. The SDR should be designed to meet the communication requirements of the sub-tactical radio communication for various types of units in the Indian Army. It should be light, ergonomic, compact, portable, and easy to handle. The equipment should be ruggedized to meet the rigours of the operating environment and the requisite standards for EMI/ EMC compliance. Post warranty, engineering/ maintenance support for the equipment will be undertaken by the in-house maintenance agency i.e. Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) for the complete life cycle of the product being procured. The vendor would be required to organize training for maintenance personnel to undertake repair and maintenance of equipment. |
